DAY 01: PATHANKOT / CHANDIGARH – DHARAMSHALA  

Upon arrival at Kangra Airport or Pathankot Station or Chandigarh, you will receive assistance. Afterward, you will proceed to Dharamshala, where you will be transferred to hotel/resort. After settling in, you’ll have free time to enjoy leisure activities at the beautiful hill retreat. 

To reach Dharamshala, Pathankot, located approximately 90 kilometers away (a 2 to 3-hour drive), serves as the nearest railway station. Chandigarh, approximately 250 kilometers away (a 5 to 6-hour drive), serves as the nearest major transportation hub. However, Kangra Airport, located just around 15 kilometers away, serves as the nearest airport.

Dharamshala, with its magnificent backdrop overlooking the vast plains, offers a perfect blend of natural beauty. A mere 24 kilometers from the enchanting town of Dalhousie, it bestows its presence upon the Himalayan foothills, perched at an elevation of approximately 6,500 feet above sea level. Here, you’ll be treated to captivating vistas of distant peaks that seem to touch the sky. It was in 1992 that Swiss Envoy Willy P. DAY 06: DALHOUSIE – AMRITSAR 

After breakfast, set out on your journey to Amritsar. Upon arrival, transferred to hotel/resort. Take a moment to rejuvenate, and when you’re ready, step into the vibrant world of Amritsar, ready to explore its rich culture and heritage. In the evening, embark on an excursion to the Wagah Border for an unforgettable experience. 

Amritsar, a historic city founded by Sri Guru Ramdass Ji in 1574 AD, is a must-visit destination in India. Its rich cultural heritage and hospitality offer a vibrant Punjabi experience. The Golden Temple, or Gurudwara Harmandir Sahib Ji, is Sikhism’s holiest shrine, known for its golden architecture, sacred pond, and massive community kitchen serving over a hundred thousand meals daily—a symbol of equality and selflessness. Laid in 1588 AD by Hazrat Mian Mir, a great Muslim saint, its foundation stone holds a unique history. Nearby, Jallianwala Bagh, infamous for the tragic 1919 massacre, stands as a somber memorial, symbolizing India’s struggle for independence.

The Wagah Border Ceremony near Amritsar delivers an electrifying and unforgettable experience. This unique event at the India-Pakistan border showcases synchronized marching soldiers as they lower their national flags, while women and children dance to patriotic songs, infusing the evening with a strong sense of national pride. This 45-minute spectacle, right before sunset, is accompanied by the passionate and energetic crowd on both sides, echoing with shouts of patriotism, creating a truly electrifying atmosphere. DAY 07: AMRITSAR      

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Amritsar Airport or Station for your onward journey. The transfer will be coordinated based on your departure schedule, ensuring a seamless and punctual departure from the city.
